Some of the most meaningful journeys begin with a leap of faith.
For years, my wife and I dedicated our lives to healthcare. As a Radiology Technologist and my wife as a Registered Nurse, we spent our careers under bright hospital lights, working long shifts, caring for others in moments of uncertainty and need. We were proud of the work we did, but the pace, the missed dinners, and the time away from home made us long for something different—something we could build together, side by side, with our two children growing up close to us.
That dream led us home to the rugged shores of Newfoundland.
Here, where the Atlantic Ocean crashes against black rock and the wind carries the sharp scent of salt and seaweed, we found a place that felt both wild and deeply familiar. On foggy mornings, with gulls calling overhead and waves rolling in against the coastline, we discovered a timeless craft: hand-harvested flaky sea salt from some of the world’s cleanest coastal waters. What began as curiosity, soon became a passion, and eventually, a family business rooted in tradition, patience, and respect for the sea that surrounds us.
Every batch of our sea salt is carefully harvested by hand. These beautiful flakes come to life in small batches to preserve their delicate texture, and pure ocean flavour. The same attention to detail that once guided us in healthcare now goes into every flake we create.
For us, this isn’t simply about producing exceptional sea salt. It’s about embracing a slower, more intentional way of life. It’s about teaching our children the value of hard work, stewardship, and entrepreneurship while sharing a genuine taste of Newfoundland with kitchens around the world. 
Our salt is a reflection of where we come from—a place where the ocean shapes our days, where craftsmanship matters, and where simple things, done exceptionally well, become something extraordinary.
From hospital hallways to the rugged coastline, our purpose has remained unchanged: to care deeply. Today, that care is poured into every handcrafted flake we harvest, every package we prepare, and every meal our sea salt helps bring to life.
